Lourdes hails from San Juan, Puerto Rico. She began her career with a two year apprenticeship under famed colorist Brad Johns in 2005. Later, she joined Arrojo Studio where she rounded her training as a haircolor specialist and began her journey as an educator. Since, she has developed education programs for various salons and has trained many apprentices. Currently, she is the lead educator for sustainable beauty brand, Maria Nila Stockholm.
She’s a blonde and redhead specialist. However, her favorite look is what she calls ‘color enhancing’, this look simply brightens up virgin hair enough to look naturally sunkissed. Lourdes is a foil master, and has become a balayage enthusiast. In her own words
“balayage is the perfect technique for this era, low-maintenance, non-committal and forever fabulous”
Most recently Lourdes planted roots in the town of Hudson, NY, acquiring a small salon, Creem Studio at 227 Warren St.
“I’m so happy to lean back and settle into this grounded, creative haven. I hope to bring more color magic and immerse myself in the fabric of this community”.
*As of 2024, she will still be taking clients at Hawthorne Studio in NYC on a strict monthly schedule.
